Lunigiana Experience is a project by Lunigiana Travel, a tour operator and travel agency founded on the nearly thirty years of experience of the AlterEco Community Cooperative in sustainable tourism and local development in Lunigiana (Province of Massa-Carrara, Tuscany).
We are partners of CETS (European Charter for Responsible Tourism), members of Legambiente and AITR (Italian Association for Responsible Tourism), and we collaborate with and employ guides from the Apuan Alps Regional Park (UNESCO Global Geopark) and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park (UNESCO Biosphere Reserve).

On foot or riding our e-bikes, we take our time exploring Lunigiana, where everything is “small”: castles, historic and rural villages, local producers, and farm stays. Walks, tours, farm visits, tastings, cookingclasses… All set amidst the green valleys between the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.

Our Nature Hiking Guides will accompany you on a journey of discovery through the Apuan Alps (UNESCO Global Geopark) and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines (UNESCO Biosphere Reserve). From the easiest hikes to the most challenging ones, from sunsets at the summit to immersive experiences in Nature Therapy and Forest Bathing.
